After 11 long months of being without my furbabies, they finally came home to me from all the way across the state in Detroit, (I live in Grand Rapids)
Backstory:
In Feb of '09 I had to move out of my one bedroom apartment because I could no longer afford it, and was not having any luck finding a place to live where I could take my three babies with me.

I had to find temporary homes for molly, and mac and cheese. Molly went to my friend libby, and Mac and Cheese went to Detroit to stay with my friend Keith, his mom Jennifer, and their 4 cats. They understood that it would be a long-term, but temporary foster home for them while I got settled. My first move was out of my one BR apt into a sublease with a gay couple, both of whom are allergic to cats. My sublease ended and we all moved out, going seperate ways.
I then moved to Ada, from downtown GR, where I rented a bedroom from a single mother and her two kids, and was able to get Molly back after she had moved several times already. I spent three months in Ada until one day before work the homeowner told me in tears she was losing her house to foreclosure if she didn't sell. So back to the moving board, luckily I hadn't fully unpacked from my last move.
I posted an ad on Craigslist looking for a roommate. I was contacted by a girl my age saying this would be her third move this year as well, and she loves animals and wouldn't mind having three cats. We met up, and we signed a 12 month lease in an animal-friendly apartment complex, after only knowing each other for a few hours so that was huge leap of faith, but we seemed to get along really well and so far so good.
Molly was already with me so she came with me right away. I wanted to wait for mac and cheese until after christmas so they wouldn't eat the christmas tree, and to give extra time to Keith and Jennifer with them, and pleanty of time to say their goodbyes. Keith drove my boys all the way from Detroit to Grand Rapids yesterday and what a wonderful homecoming it was!
Molly immediately started growling and hissing, and went into defense mode, which is to be expected.
I have her in my room and the boys are out in the rest of the apartment exploring and getting used to their new setting. Mackie soon found a hiding spot in the litter box, under my dresser, in the tub, and later, the dryer: (He's now currently behind the TV)
I have plenty of photos taken both by me and by Keith. I'd love to share them all with you here, but instead I will leave a link to my photoset on flickr where you can view more videos too.
